Roof of Africa  – Bike rental and support packages

Package Information

The 2024 Roof of Africa package per rider is priced at :

ZAR 45,000 for a new 300 SE 2023 model, or

ZAR49,000  for a new 300 SE 2024 model,

Payment 60 days before event in full.

When registering, please specify whether you are entering the Bronze, Silver, or Gold category.

Included in the Package

Sherco 300 MY subject to package choice and availability

• Full motorcycle protection that includes:

– Radiator braces
– Bash plate with linkage protection
– Front & rear disk guards
– Fork guard RH fork
– Grab handles front and rear
– Front & rear mousses

• Delivery of bikes to Maseru for the race start and return to Sherco in Pretoria
• Fuel containers ( excluding fuel)
• Technicians during the race and overnight service and repairs 
• Daily bike preparation and DSP support
• Lubricants during the event (bike wash, chain spray, silicone, radiator fluids, 2T oil)

Spares Parts Tab

A spares parts tab costing ZAR 12,000 will be setup and must be paid for prior to the event, either via Telegraphic Transfer when paying for the service package or by credit card if visiting us in Pretoria before the event.

This spare parts tab covers spares and tyres used during the race. If no spares are used, a reimbursement will be provided after assessing the bike for any breakages post-race

Accommodation and Logistics

Our team, including technicians , will stay at the Thaba Bosiu Cultural Village from the Tuesday in the week of the event. Riders must book and pay for their own accommodation directly with Thaba Bosiu or the Goodnight Lodge situated next door. Chat to us if you require assistance.

Sherco  is located 45 km from Johannesburg International Airport.

It is advisable to rent a small car from the airport to drive to us and to Lesotho. A 4×4 vehicle is not necessary; a standard car will suffice.

Maseru is 471km (5.5 hours) drive from Pretoria of which most part is on the freeway. During the event you will be driving back and forth to start finish daily which should be another 500km. We will leave for Maseru on the Tuesday morning.
